I'm pretty happy with what I got at Albertsons today. I did two transactions and will probably go back sometime this week to get some other things too.
Isn't Elliot so good at setting things up for the picture?! He just loves doing it and I enjoy seeing what he comes up with. Anyway.....here's how it went down.The toilet paper (6 double rolls in each one) were on sale for 3/$7. You had to buy three to get them at $2.34 each (normally they are over $6 ea). That alone is a great deal. In my first transaction, I did the 3/$7 on the TP and I bought the Ken's Lite Spritzer stuff which was on sale for 5/$7 (once again, you had to buy 5 to get the $7 deal), that means they were 1.40 each. So I used my:
(3) .50/1 Angel Soft coupons which brought it to $5.50 for the toilet paper.
(5) $2/1 Ken's Lite Spritzer which means I MADE $3 total on them, bringing my total to$2.50.
Then I used my coupon doubler which gave me another $1.50 making my first transaction cost $1!
Transaction two was the other 3 toilet papers which cost $7. Then I used 3 more coupons for .50/1 which brought it to $5.50 and then I used another coupon doubler which brought it to $4.
TOTAL OOP: $5 (less than the regular price of one of the package of toilet paper)
TOTAL SAVINGS: $52.68
It actually didn't work just like that when I bought the stuff. It rang up wrong, I tried to figure out what was wrong but the cashier insisted it was right. I was confused as to how I had figured it wrong by $6. I left and then figured it out at home. What had happened was that both transactions rang the toilet paper up as 3/$10 even though that ad states otherwise so we paid $6 more. Dan was nice and ran to the store to me, explained it to them and they gave him $6 back. That sure happens a lot with Albertson's which is why I always try to know exactly how much it should be so I can at least figure out what went wrong when I get home if I can't figure it out at the sotre. It's nice that it's just across the street from us so if there's something that was wrong, it's easy to just run across the street and correct it.
We already had a lot of toilet paper but now we definitely have a good stash. If I had more coupons, I would go get more toilet paper. :-)

That is a super good deal on all that TP!! I wonder if our Albertson's is doing anything. I'm really lazy this week. I've hardly even looked at what deals are out there! I should take a peak and see what's there.

Wow, great job on the TP deal. I may have to rethink my trans? Do you get both the Thriftway & SFWY DBL from the Food/Day? Do you mind if I post this scenario on my blog?

I just went to Albertsons.I did the Ken's Dressing & TP deal. My OOP was $4, including the dbl up. I think I did it right,either way a good deal for TP :-)
