October

October really wasn't a great month for deals, I think. There were a few good things going on but overall it wasn't too impressive so I didn't do that much shopping. But here is what I spent and saved for October (this includes all grocery and household items).

Total OOP: $148.96

Savings: $289.63

Unfortunately I totally forgot to get my free stuff at Walgreens for October. I remembered about 2 days too late! Hopefully next month.

Becca, those are awesome percentages! I spend way more than that, save way less than that... but I'm better than I used to be. Today I spent about $360 at Publix alone and only saved $66. It's the worst I've done since couponing more seriously, but it's still better than I used to do. With my big family, I just can't get ahead on the grocery portion (I'm all set on the household stuff, though; I'm really good at CVS). Also, I get thrown off everytime I can't get to the grocery store on my usual day (like when I have sick kids home) b/c then I miss that week's BOGO deals (which is really how I get my grocery bill down). Also, we have to buy a lot of organic foods for my son's health condition...and there just aren't that many coupons for those foods. I'll never be as good as you, but I'm trying. I'm so glad you and Teresa post your deals. Gives me something to strive for :)
