We've had a busy week, and I haven't had time to post my shopping trips to CVS. Tyler has been coming with me, which has been so nice! It's been a fun time to spend together, and it's been much easier with the kids and being uncomfortably pregnant. I will use my card, and he will use his. So, often we get the same stuff.
Here's the Quick Stats on our shopping this week (it was two shopping trips, three transactions):
Total Purchases: $241.64
Card Savings: $146.24 (the Accu-check diabetes things were $65 off)
Total with Card Savings: $95.40
Total Cash Spent: $20.73

** The Accu-Check diabetes monitoring system is actually really nice because each box has 17 free test strips. Those things are expensive normally. The ones I used were $1 each - so that would be $17 per box (if this brand costs the same) that I was able to get for free basically.
**Quick little gripe: When I got home, I opened up the coupons that I bought that day in the newspaper and there were ones for the Stayfree pads, Buy 1 Get 1 Free. So, we could have used those and brought home two more packs of Stayfree pads for free! But no, I didn't look at my coupons from that newspaper until I got home. grrr...
SHOPPING TRIP #2
We had both received $4 off $20 coupons in our email for each card. It was only good for July 4th, so we ran off and this is what we bought...

(2) $2 off Maybelline = $4 off

**Apparently I'm incapable of using the B1G1 free coupon for the Stayfree pads! It was so annoying. I wished I had used that one first instead of giving him the $2 off coupon first, but I hadn't. He already put the other one in the coupon slot and couldn't pull it back out. So, I couldn't change it. Oh well..

Shopping with spouse is fun! I definitely prefer shopping with Dan, he makes it much more fun especially since it's easier to do more transactions.
Viva paper towels are my favorite, especially the "pick your size" Viva paper towels.
That is really nice that you got the free test strips!
I hate after a shopping trip when you notice there is a good coupon in the paper that you could've used. Regardless, you still got a good deal but I know it would've been nice if you had gotten a better deal. I usually avoid shopping too close to the weekend because of the new coupons.
