I went to Rite Aid and then ran to Walgreens for a quick little trip. Rite Aid has lots of good deals right now where you can get things for free or nearly free, I didn't actually do any of those deals. I often don't do rebate deals because I usually don't have the extra money to front for the rebate. But they have lots of great buy one get one free (BOGOF) deals. At Rite Aid, I actually got good deals. Walgreens I got a good deal just because I had a gift card so I had no OOP. My total out of pocket was $18.35 today! Here's what I got:
Rite Aid:
2 Purex BOGOF
(2) .50 off coupons = $4.99
2 VivePro BOGOF
(2) $1.00 off coupons = $2.99
2 Revlon Nail Files BOGOF
(2) $1.00 off coupons = $0.49
4 Bounty Paper Towels-On Sale for $0.99 regularly $1.89
(4) .25 off coupons = .74 each x 4 = $2.96
4 Cottonelle Toilet Paper- On Sale for $1.99, regularly $3.69
(4) .25 off coupons = $1.74 each x 4 = $6.96 (for 16 double rolls)
So the total at Rite Aid was $18.35. Before all the deals it would've been $49.18, so good savings for sure! I love BOGOF deals because then it's like you get to use two MFCs on one item.
We were going to buy an a/c unit this month but then Dan lost his job so we decided to downgrade to a little box fan for the window. Walgreens had them on sale for $14.99 and then there is a mail-in rebate for $5, so in the end it is $9.99. So we got that today. Then we got 3 boxes of puffs for $0.89 each with a Walgreens coupon from this weeks ad.
The total at Walgreens was $17.66 and we used our gift card for it all. Then, as I said, we will be getting $5 back.

You got some really nice stuff! We don't have a Rite-Aid around here anywhere. I guess we get a CVS instead. That's some super good savings with all that you bought. That's really nice that you have the gift card at Walgreens. I wonder if mine will ever appear...
I hope your box fan is helpful. I wish we had another a/c to give you. Hope it isn't too hot!!
