School Stuff

Walgreens has some really good 5 cent deals this week on school supplies. Neither of us are in school but we can often use various school supplies. So this was a really well priced trip based on it being school supplies (which often aren't THAT cheap). It cost a total of $5.37. I had $2.11 on a gift card so I paid a total of $3.26.

The first Walgreens we went to had none of the stuff left so we had to go to another. Luckily, they weren't out of anything. (This is the one I told you about before that I discovered where they are really nice and always stocked.)

5 folders- .5 each w/Walgreens coupon = .25
3 packaged of mechanical pencils- .5 each w/Walgreens coupon = .15
6 Scotch tape- 3/$1 w/Walgreens coupon = $2
Ziploc bags- .99 each w/Walgreens coupon = $3

Before coupons it would've cost about $15 or so (I'm not quite sure).

I wouldn't have bought the Walgreens zipper bags but we really need some. They were a decent deal but nothing amazing. When Dan didn't have a job I saw some good deals on Ziploc bags but since it wasn't a necessity I didn't take advantage of it. I need to get stocked up on those when they are at a better price.

That looks like lots of fun school supplies!! I love shopping for those. Looks like you got some great deals;-) One day I shall enter the coupon shopping world again with more dedication than I'm giving it right now. I'm too tired!

We have maybe $60 in extra care bucks that are going to expire right after the beginning of August (some will expire a week from tomorrow). Hopefully I'll be able to send Tyler shopping so we can roll them some more. If we can roll them all, then they'll be good for another month before i HAVE to roll them again. But if I can't do that, then we can just go spend them as cash and not get any ECB back in return...but I really don't want to loose all that! Why am I telling you this?

That's pretty awesome Walgreen's stuff you got;-)
